He is instrumental in implementation of many valuable and effective projects in the field of education. He is a 1984 batch Probationary Officer, Department of Public Instructions. Worked as Head Master, Subject Inspector, Assistant Director, Senior Assistant Director, Block Education Officer, Deputy Director, DIET and CTE Principal, Joint Director(Mysore Division), Joint Director(School Education), Director(Primary Education) in Department of Public Instruction for 34 years. He also worked as a Litigation Conducting Officer and Appellant Authority at the State Level . He is also associated with State resource group in High School Head Masters School leadership development program, State Core Committee on Teacher Educational Support system (TESS – India), Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) Curriculum Committee Karnataka state for 2 years.
Prof. Rajaram S. Sharma
In a career spanning over three decades, Prof. Rajaram S. Sharma has been a teacher, teacher educator and researcher. He specializes in Educational Technology, exploring active methods of learning, nurturing children into independent learners, enhancing teacher competency and capacity for innovation, and helping school systems explore appropriate ICT. In his association with NCERT (1996-2016), he led initiatives in exploring appropriate applications of ICT in education, including radio and television, audio and video, web and interactive multimedia applications. He was closely associated with the implementation of the National Policy of ICT in School Education, the development of a National Repository of Open Education Resources (http://nroer.gov.in) and an ICT in Education curriculum. His other initiatives in Educational Technology include the roll out of ePathshala, a web and mobile interface which provides access to digital versions of textbooks and the Swayam MOOC initiative which provides access to online courses in School Education.
